2016-2022 Maxima Control Arm Kit – Suspension Front Lower Control Arms & Ball Joints, Tie Rods, Sway Bar Links for Nissan Maxima
2016-2022 Maxima Control Arm Kit – 8-Piece Front Suspension and Steering Set
This 2016-2022 Maxima control arm kit puts eight front-end parts in one box: both front lower control arms with their ball joints, the left and right outer tie rod ends, two inner tie rod ends and both front sway bar end links. The supplier lists it for the Nissan Maxima from 2016 to 2022 and for the Nissan Altima from 2015 to 2018. Easy Life Markets offers it as a single set, which saves ordering seven part numbers one at a time.
These are the joints that take the knocks at the front of the car. The lower arms locate the wheels, each tie rod carries steering movement from the rack out to the knuckle, and the sway bar links tie the anti-roll bar to the suspension. They wear at a similar rate, and replacing any of the first two means an alignment afterwards. That is the argument for a kit: one strip-down, one alignment, and no half-worn joint left next to a fresh one.
What Comes in the Kit
- 1 x front lower control arm and ball joint assembly, driver side – K622839
- 1 x front lower control arm and ball joint assembly, passenger side – K622838
- 1 x outer tie rod end, driver side – ES801197
- 1 x outer tie rod end, passenger side – ES801196
- 2 x inner tie rod ends – EV801066

That makes eight pieces. The product photos show the outer tie rod ends with castle nuts on their studs, and one photo shows a pair of split pins. Fitting instructions are not included, and rack boots are not listed.

Compatibility
The supplier lists the kit for:
- Nissan Maxima, 2016–2022
- Nissan Altima, 2015–2018
No engine, trim or build-date limits are given. That does not mean there are none, so it is worth a few minutes to check:
- Confirm the model year from the plate in the driver's door opening.
- Match the reference numbers. If your car already has aftermarket parts, look for K622838 or K622839 on the lower arms, or ask a parts counter to cross your VIN to those numbers.
- Compare the parts side by side before fitting. Check the arm's bushing positions and ball joint stud, the thread on the tie rod ends, and the length of the sway bar links.
- Contact us. If your car is an Altima from a year near the edge of the range, or you are unsure, send us your VIN and we will help you check it against the supplier's information.
Symptoms This Kit Addresses
- Clunking from the front over rough roads or when pulling away
- A rattle over small bumps, the usual sign of worn sway bar links
- Loose or wandering steering, or play you can feel at the wheel
- The steering wheel off-centre after the car has been aligned before
- Front tyres wearing on one edge
- Torn boots on the ball joints or tie rod ends, with grease on the outside
Have the car inspected on a lift first. If only the links are worn, you do not need the whole kit. If the arms and tie rods have play as well, doing everything together is the cheaper route.
Fitting Notes
- The supplier strongly recommends professional installation, and no instructions are supplied.
- Count the threads or measure the position of each outer tie rod end before removing it, and fit the new one to match. The toe will then be close enough for the drive to the alignment shop.
- Inner tie rods need the correct removal tool. Check the rack boots while you are there and renew them if they are split.
- Tighten the lower arm bushing bolts with the car's weight on its wheels, and torque all fasteners to the service manual figures.
- Where a castle nut is used, fit a new split pin and bend it over properly.
- Finish with a wheel alignment. It is not optional after tie rods and control arms.
Steering and suspension joints are safety-critical. If one separates, you lose control of that wheel. Leave the work to a qualified mechanic unless you have the tools and experience.
Is a Full Kit the Right Choice?
For a car with one noisy link, no. For a higher-mileage Maxima or Altima where the workshop has found play in several places, yes. Labour and alignment are a large share of the cost of front-end work, and both are paid once when the parts go in together. You also end up with parts of the same age on both sides, so the steering feels even.
Who Should Buy This Set
Owners planning a full front-end refresh, home mechanics with a ball joint separator and an inner tie rod tool, and independent garages that prefer to quote one complete job.
