Measure Before You Order

This is a big tree. Check three things:

• Ceiling height: At least 2.9 to 3 m, so there is room for a topper.
• Floor space: About 145 cm across, plus room to walk around it.
• Getting it in: The tree comes in sections, but check stairs and doorways for the box.

If your ceiling is lower, the 7.5ft pre-lit tree or the 6ft flocked Christmas tree will look better.

Setting Up a 9ft Christmas Tree

1. Build the metal base in its final spot. Moving a decorated 9 ft tree is hard work.
2. Stack the sections from the bottom up. You will need a step ladder for the top.
3. Fluff every tip from the trunk outwards. Allow time; there are over 2,500 of them.
4. Add lights, then ornaments, then the topper.

It is easier with two people. A little flocking may shed during the first setup, so put a sheet down first.

Decorating a Tall Tree

• Lights: As a rough guide, plan on about 100 lights per foot of tree for a full look, so 900 or more for this size.
• Ornaments: Four or five sets of our gold shatterproof ornaments gives good coverage. Use larger pieces near the bottom and smaller ones at the top.
• Topper: Choose the 25 or 30 cm star tree topper. A small star gets lost on a 9 ft tree.
• Add texture with honeycomb paper ornaments.

Storage

Fold the branches up, wrap each section loosely, and store the tree dry and cool. Label the sections so next year's setup is quicker.
