The supplier states that its sizes are Asian sizes and run one to two sizes smaller than typical European and American sizing. With a dress this loose, the letter matters less than the numbers.

1. Measure round the fullest part of your bust.
2. Add the ease you want. For the roomy look in the photos, choose a size whose bust figure is 15 to 25 cm more than your own measurement.
3. Check the length against your height. At 128 to 135 cm from the shoulder, the hem sits near the ankle on someone of average height and closer to the floor on someone shorter.
4. Check the sleeve. At 50 to 57 cm it is a long sleeve on most people and a bracelet length on those with longer arms.

• Sleeves. One line of the supplier's specification says short sleeve. Its size chart gives a sleeve of 50 to 57 cm and every photo shows long sleeves. We have gone with the chart and the photos.
• Fabric. The supplier lists "140 plain weave fabric" and gives no fibre content. A plain weave is the simplest woven structure, with no stretch of its own. We cannot tell you whether the fibre is cotton, linen, polyester or a blend. Ask us if you need to know.
• The check designs are printed. The listing describes the decoration as printing and dyeing, so the checks and stripes are printed on the cloth, not woven in.
• Lining. Not stated. A thin fabric in a pale print can be slightly see-through in strong light.
• Care instructions. Not given.

How to Wear It
