"Intermetallic" and "Brown skin" are the supplier's translated names for the two-tone and brown leather versions. The two box-only options cost much less than a watch. A Straight Answer on "Automatic"
The original title called this a skeleton automatic watch. The supplier's specification lists the movement type as quartz. Those two statements cannot both be right, and we go by the specification.
- What that means. A quartz watch is driven by a battery. If this is quartz, the gears and wheels you see through the dial are decoration, and they do not turn the way the parts of a mechanical watch do. That is common in watches of this style and price.
- If you want real moving gears. Choose a watch that the supplier lists as mechanical, such as the men's mechanical skeleton watch we also sell.
- The upside. Quartz keeps better time than an inexpensive mechanical movement and never needs winding.
- The movement maker. The supplier's attributes name a well-known movement manufacturer. We cannot verify that, and it sits oddly beside a quartz listing, so we do not repeat the name.
