Mercedes Engine Mount Kit – Set of 3 Front Engine Mounts & Rear Transmission Mount for W220, C230, C320, CLK320, CLK500, CLK55, E320, S320
Mercedes Engine Mount Kit – 2 Hydraulic Engine Mounts and 1 Transmission Mount
This Mercedes engine mount kit contains two front hydraulic engine mounts and one rear transmission mount, the three mounts that hold the engine and gearbox in many Mercedes-Benz models from the late 1990s and 2000s. The supplier lists a long range of C-Class, CLK, E-Class, S-Class (including W220), CL, SL, SLK and G-Class models. Easy Life Markets sells the three mounts as one set, so the complete drivetrain support can be renewed in one job.
Hydraulic engine mounts contain fluid inside a rubber body to damp vibration more effectively than solid rubber. When a hydraulic mount leaks or the rubber collapses, the engine sits lower, vibration increases, and you may hear knocks when pulling away. The transmission mount at the rear of the gearbox wears in the same way. You can read more about how engine mounts work, including hydraulic designs.

Checking Fitment
Mercedes used different engine mounts depending on the engine, body style, drivetrain (including 4MATIC all-wheel drive) and build date, and left and right mounts are not always the same on every model. Because this list is so broad, please:
- Check the part numbers on your old mounts, or look up your car in a Mercedes parts catalogue using your VIN.
- Confirm the drivetrain. 4MATIC models often use different mounts.
- Compare the photos with your mounts before ordering.
If you are not sure, send us your VIN and we will help you check.
Signs of Worn Engine and Transmission Mounts
- Increased vibration at idle, especially in Drive
- A thud or clunk when accelerating, braking or shifting
- Oil-like fluid under a hydraulic engine mount
- The engine sitting lower on one side, or the fan getting close to the shroud
- Cracked or separated rubber on the transmission mount
Installation Notes
- Support the engine securely from above or below before removing the engine mounts.
- Raise the engine only as far as needed, and watch hoses, wiring and the fan shroud.
- Support the gearbox before removing the transmission mount.
- Tighten all fasteners to Mercedes' specified torque.
Professional installation is highly recommended, as no instructions are included.
Why Replace All Three at Once
The two engine mounts and the transmission mount share the weight and the torque of the drivetrain. When one fails, the others take extra strain. Replacing all three at the same time restores the correct engine position and gives the smoothest result.
Checking Hydraulic Engine Mounts at Home
A failed hydraulic engine mount often loses its fluid, so look underneath each mount for an oily residue. With the engine off, compare the height of the rubber body on each side: a collapsed mount sits noticeably lower. On many Mercedes models, a sagging mount also lets the cooling fan get close to the fan shroud, so check that clearance too.
With a helper holding the brakes firmly, shift between Drive and Reverse and gently apply a little throttle while you watch the engine. A healthy engine moves a small amount and settles; a worn set of mounts lets it rock sharply or thud. For the transmission mount, look for cracks in the rubber and for the gearbox sitting low on its crossmember.
Who This Kit Is For
This kit suits Mercedes-Benz owners with vibration or clunks from worn mounts, enthusiasts maintaining older C-Class, E-Class and S-Class models, and independent Mercedes workshops.
