Quick Drying Bath Mat – Absorbent, Non-Slip, Oval or Semicircle

This quick drying bath mat is a thin, flexible mat with a soft absorbent top and a rubber non-slip back, made to take water off your feet as you step out of the shower and then dry out fast. Easy Life Markets sells it in two shapes, oval and semicircle, three sizes from 40 × 60 cm to 60 × 90 cm, and six colours.

Most of the designs are two-tone: a darker centre panel inside a lighter border, with the words "LIVING SIMPLE" printed in small letters across the middle and around the edge. A few photos also show versions printed "SHOWER". The supplier says the mat rolls up easily and is flexible enough to store, and that it suits doorways, kitchens and bedrooms as well as the bathroom.

How It Is Built

The supplier describes three layers:

  • Top surface. Called a "nappa leather fabric" that absorbs moisture quickly. The specification line lists the material as polyester.
  • Middle. A regenerated sponge layer for softness, with a foam absorbent layer that takes up water and lets it evaporate.
  • Back. Rubber with a textured, non-slip pattern that the supplier says grips without marking the floor.

The edges are cut smooth rather than bound. The photos show a thin, flat mat with a neat rounded edge.

Shapes, Sizes and Colours

  • Oval: rounded at both ends.
  • Semicircle: a D shape, flat along one long side, so it can sit tight against a bath panel, shower tray or door threshold.
  • Sizes: 40 × 60 cm, 50 × 80 cm, 60 × 90 cm.
  • Colours: Beige, Blue, Grey, Khaki, Orange, Red.

Every colour comes in every shape and size, giving 36 options. Prices vary a little by size, shape and colour, and the selector shows the price for the option you pick.

A Straight Answer on the Details

  • Colour names. The supplier's own colour list names only grey, blue, red and khaki. Our options add Beige and Orange. The photos show grey, blue, grey-brown, brick red and sage or orange "SHOWER" versions, and the supplier does not link each option name to a photo. Ask us to confirm what a colour looks like before you order.
  • "Nappa leather". This is a supplier term for the soft-touch fabric face. It is not real leather.
  • Washing. The supplier says both "washable" and "non machine washable, conventional flushing". We read that as: rinse or hand wash it, do not put it in the machine.
  • Size in the specification. One line mentions 400 × 1000 mm. That size is not offered here.
  • Rectangular mat in the photos. Two "SHOWER" photos show a rectangular mat. Only the oval and semicircle shapes are offered.
  • Not stated: Thickness, weight and drying time.

What Makes a Mat Absorbent

A mat at a doorway or bath has two jobs: soak up water and stay put. Thick fluffy rugs do the first well but take hours to dry and can go musty. Thin layered mats like this one work differently. The face draws water down into the foam, which then releases it to the air, so the surface feels dry again quickly. The rubber back does the second job, gripping the floor so the mat does not slide when you step on it with wet feet.

Choosing a Size

  • 40 × 60 cm suits a small shower tray, a basin or a doorway.
  • 50 × 80 cm fits in front of most standard baths.
  • 60 × 90 cm gives room for two feet and a step, useful for walk-in showers or entrances.

Measure the clear floor space, allowing for doors that swing over the mat.

Oval or Semicircle?

The oval is the more versatile shape. It sits freely in the middle of a floor, in front of a basin or by a bed, and has no straight edge that needs lining up with anything. The semicircle is the one to choose when the mat has to sit against something: the side of a bath, the lip of a shower tray, a kitchen cabinet plinth or a door threshold. The flat edge goes against the obstacle and the rounded side faces into the room, so there is no gap for water to land on bare floor and no corner to trip on.

For a front door, the semicircle also leaves the door free to swing over the curved side.

Care

  • Rinse it under the shower or tap, press out the water and hang it or lay it flat to dry.
  • Do not machine wash, tumble dry or use bleach.
  • Lift it every few days so the floor underneath can dry.
  • Roll it, do not fold it, when you put it away.

Who It Suits

Bathrooms where a thick rug never dries, busy family bathrooms, and front doors or kitchens that need a slim, grippy mat that does not catch the door.

Common Questions

Is it machine washable? No. The supplier says to rinse it rather than machine wash.

Will it slip on tiles? It has a rubber non-slip back. Keep the floor and the back clean so it grips properly.

Is the surface leather? No. It is a soft fabric face over foam.

Is it a known brand? No brand is given. It is an unbranded mat from our supplier.
