A Straight Answer on the Photos

The product photos show the silicone kitchen utensil set only. The electric salt and pepper grinder set is included but not pictured. The supplier does not list the grinder's battery type, whether batteries come in the box, its exact capacity or its colour. If you need any of those details before ordering, contact us and we will check.

Utensil Specifications

Heads: Food-grade silicone, BPA-free, according to the supplier

Core: Stainless steel inside the spatulas, so they do not bend
Heat resistance: Up to 230°C (446°F), according to the supplier
Colour: Khaki
Pieces: 33

New silicone can have a slight smell. The supplier suggests soaking the utensils in water and leaving them to air for about three hours before first use.

Why Silicone Utensils?

Silicone handles heat well, does not react with food and stays flexible. It will not scratch non-stick pans like metal can, melt like thin plastic, or crack like old wooden spoons. Keep sharp knives away from the heads, as a deep cut can nick them.

Using the Electric Grinders

Fill one mill with salt and the other with whole peppercorns. Use coarse salt crystals, not fine table salt.
Set the coarseness with the adjuster.
Press the button to grind. The LED lights the food so you can see what you are adding.
Keep them dry. Do not grind over a steaming pan, as moisture can clog the mechanism.

Care

Wash the utensils by hand in warm soapy water and dry them straight away.
Do not soak them for long or put them in the dishwasher. The supplier advises against both because of the wooden handles.
Rub a little food-safe oil into the handles now and then.
Wipe the grinders with a dry or slightly damp cloth only. Never put them in water.
