Wicker Chaise Lounge – PE Rattan Sun Lounger with Cushion and 2 Wheels, Gray

This wicker chaise lounge is a full-length outdoor sun lounger with a curved "S" profile, hand-woven PE rattan over a steel frame, a thick gray cushion and two wheels at the head end. The backrest reclines through five levels, from sitting up to lying almost flat. It measures 81.5 inches long and the supplier rates it at 264 lb. Easy Life Markets sells it with the gray cushion.

The shape is what sets it apart from a flat poolside lounger. The seat dips under your hips and rises under your knees, so you lie in a relaxed, slightly bent position rather than flat on a board. The cushion is long enough to cover the whole bed, and the supplier's photos show it with a zip cover. To move it, lift the foot end and roll it on the two wheels, which is much easier than dragging a long lounger across paving.

A Straight Answer on the Details

Two heights. The written spec gives the overall height as 27.5 inches. The dimension photo marks the raised backrest at 35 inches. Both can be right, depending on the backrest setting, so we show both.
"Outdoor-ready". PE rattan is a plastic weave made to sit outside, and it handles sun and rain far better than natural cane. The cushion is a different matter. The supplier does not say it is water-resistant, and foam cushions soak up rain. Bring the cushion in or cover it when you are not using the lounger.
The frame. The supplier calls it a heavy-duty steel frame. It does not say whether the steel is coated or galvanised, so treat bare scratches on the legs as you would on any steel garden furniture.
The weave colour. The listing says gray. In the photos the wicker is a mixed gray-brown, close to driftwood, with a plain mid-gray cushion.
Not stated: Lounger weight, cushion thickness, wheel material and whether the cushion cover can be machine washed.

About PE Wicker

Traditional wicker is a woven technique, not a material. It was originally made from cane, willow or rattan, which look lovely but crack and go mouldy when left out in the weather. Most outdoor wicker today, including this lounger, uses strands of polyethylene woven around a metal frame. It keeps the woven look while shrugging off rain and cleaning up with a hose. It still fades slowly in strong sun, so shade or a cover helps it keep its colour.

Beside a pool or on a sun deck, where the full length can stretch out.
On a patio or a lawn, rolled into the sun or the shade as the day moves.
In pairs with a small side table between them.
On a covered terrace, where the cushion can stay on it.

Allow roughly 2.1 metres of length and a little more if you want to walk round the foot end.

Before You Order

Measure the spot where the wicker chaise lounge will live. With the backrest down it needs about 207 cm of length and 70 cm of width, and a little more if the back is raised against a wall. Check the route from your door to the garden too: a long lounger has to turn corners in a hallway. If the ground is gravel or lawn, the two wheels will still work, but they roll most easily on paving or decking. Finally, think about where the cushion will go when it rains. A deck box or a dry corner of a shed saves it from soaking through and keeps it looking new for longer.

Care

Hose or wipe the wicker with mild soapy water and let it dry in the air.
Store the cushion indoors or in a dry box when rain is forecast.
Unzip and clean the cushion cover as the label allows. Dry it fully before refitting.
Keep the wheels free of grit and check the backrest lock now and then.
Cover the lounger or store it under cover in winter.
