A Straight Answer on Sizing
The supplier gives no size chart for these sweatpants. It states only that its sizes are Asian sizes, which run one to two sizes smaller than typical European and American sizing, that you should choose the larger size if you are between two, and that measurements can vary by 1 to 3 cm.
That is not enough to pick a size with confidence, so here is what we suggest:
- Measure your waist at the navel and your hips at the fullest point.
- Measure your inside leg from the crotch to the ankle bone.
- Send us those three figures with your usual size, and we will ask the supplier for the garment measurements of the size you are considering.
The elastic waist and drawstring give some leeway round the middle. They do not help with leg length, and joggers that are too short in the leg sit awkwardly above the ankle. If you are tall, ask about the inseam before ordering.
How to Measure a Pair You Already Own
The quickest way to compare sizes is against joggers that fit you well. Lay them flat and note these figures in centimetres:
- Waist: Straight across the waistband, unstretched, then doubled.
- Hip: Straight across at the widest point below the waistband, then doubled.
- Inseam: From the crotch seam down the inside leg to the bottom of the cuff.
- Rise: From the crotch seam up to the top of the waistband at the front.

A Straight Answer on the Fabric
- "Fleece". The supplier's title calls these fleece sweatpants and its specification lists polyester, described as thick. It does not say whether the inside is brushed or lined with a separate fleece layer. Sweatpants sold this way normally have a soft brushed inner face. We cannot confirm it beyond the supplier's wording.
- Polyester, not cotton. Polyester is hard-wearing, quick to dry and holds colour well. It is less breathable than cotton, so these suit cool weather better than hard exercise in the heat.
- Weight. No fabric weight is given.
- Lighter colours. White and other pale shades in any jersey fabric can show the outline of dark underwear. Choose nude tones underneath.
Choosing Colours
Black, navy and the two greys hide marks best and go with everything. Camel, khaki and dark green are quieter alternatives to black. The bright shades, such as yellow, orange, red and pink, look best with a plain white or grey top. White and the pale purples show dirt quickly, so keep them for indoor wear.
How to Wear Them
- With a matching or toning sweatshirt as a set.
- With a fitted T-shirt and a denim or puffer jacket for errands.
- With thick socks and a fleece top at home.
- Over leggings on very cold days. The relaxed cut leaves room.
The gathered ankle cuff is what makes joggers look neat with trainers. If the legs are slightly long, the cuff holds the extra length in a soft fold above the shoe.
Care
Follow the care label in the garment. Where the label gives no guidance, the usual approach for polyester sweatpants is:
- Wash inside out at a cool temperature with similar colours.
- Wash bright and dark colours separately the first few times.
- Avoid fabric softener if the inside is brushed. It flattens the pile.
- Dry on a line or tumble on low. High heat can make polyester shiny and encourages bobbling.
- Do not iron on a hot setting.
- Tie the drawstring loosely before washing so it does not pull out of the waistband.
