2012-2020 F-150 Brake Kit – Front and Rear Rotors with Ceramic Pads

This 2012-2020 F-150 brake kit covers both axles of the truck: two front rotors, two rear rotors, four front pads and four rear pads. The rotors are drilled and slotted, with a 13.8 inch (350 mm) front diameter and a 13.7 inch (348.2 mm) rear diameter, and the pads are ceramic. The supplier lists it for 2012–2014 Ford F-150 6-lug models and for 2015–2020 F-150 models with a manual parking brake. Easy Life Markets sells it as one complete set, so you are not matching rotors and pads from different sources.

The F-150 is a heavy truck, and plenty of them tow or carry loads. All of that weight is stopped by the pads squeezing the rotors, and the heat that creates is what wears brakes out. Rotors get thin or scored, pads wear down, and you end up with a longer pedal, a pulsing feeling or a grinding noise. Changing the pads and rotors on both axles at once puts fresh friction surfaces on all four corners. If you want to know more about the parts involved, the disc brake article explains how the system works.

  • 4 x front ceramic brake pads
  • 4 x rear ceramic brake pads

The product photo also shows pad hardware clips with the kit. Calipers, brake fluid, wear sensors and brake cleaner are not listed as included.

Compatibility

The supplier lists this kit for:

  • Ford F-150, 2012–2014, 6-lug models
  • Ford F-150, 2015–2020, models with a manual parking brake (MPB) only

The parking brake detail matters. From 2015 the F-150 was built with either a manual parking brake or an electric one, and the rear brakes are not the same. This kit is listed for manual parking brake trucks only. To make sure it is right for yours:

  1. Check your parking brake. A foot pedal on the left of the footwell is a manual parking brake. A switch on the dash or console is electric, and this kit is not listed for it.
  2. Count your wheel lugs. The 2012–2014 listing is for 6-lug trucks only.
  3. Measure your old rotors and compare them with 13.8 in at the front and 13.7 in at the rear.
  4. Use your VIN in a Ford parts catalogue if you are in any doubt, or send it to us and we will help you check.

About the Rotors and Pads

The rotors are cast from HT250 iron and have both drilled holes and slots across the braking face. The supplier says this helps them shed heat under heavy loads and hard stops, and helps clear water and dust from the pad surface. The galvanized finish is there to resist rust on the parts of the rotor the pads do not sweep. The pads are a ceramic compound, which the supplier describes as low in dust and noise, and the chamfered edges help them bed against the rotor quietly.

Signs Your Brakes Need Attention

  • Squealing or grinding when you brake
  • A pulsing pedal or a shake through the steering wheel under braking
  • A deep lip at the outer edge of the rotor, or visible grooves in its face
  • Pads worn close to the backing plate
  • The truck taking longer to stop than it used to, especially with a load

Installation Tips

  • Work on one axle at a time and support the truck on stands rated for its weight.
  • Clean the hub face with a wire brush before fitting each rotor. Rust under the rotor is a common cause of brake shudder.
  • Wipe the new rotors with brake cleaner before fitting the pads.
  • Fit new hardware clips where supplied, lubricate the caliper slide pins and torque every fastener to the service manual figure.
  • Pump the pedal until it is firm before moving the truck, then bed the pads in with a series of moderate stops.

Brakes are safety-critical. If you are not confident doing this work, have the kit fitted by a qualified mechanic.

Why Do Both Axles at Once

New pads on worn rotors take longer to bed in and often bring the old noise or vibration straight back. Doing front and rear together gives you matched parts and one predictable pedal feel. It also means the truck is only off the road once.

Who This Kit Is For

This kit suits F-150 owners who do their own maintenance, fleet operators and independent garages, once the model year, lug count and parking brake type have been confirmed.

Common Questions

Will it fit an F-150 with an electric parking brake? No. For 2015–2020 trucks the supplier lists manual parking brake models only.

Is this a genuine Ford part? No. It is an aftermarket kit. The parts in the photos carry VEVOR markings.

Do I need to turn or machine the rotors? No. The kit includes new rotors for both axles.
