Accord Rear Brake Caliper Assembly Pair 2008-2014 – Rear Left & Right with Bracket for Honda Accord & Acura TSX, 19B3358 19B3359
Accord Rear Brake Caliper Pair with Brackets – Honda Accord 2008-2012 and Acura TSX 2009-2014
This Accord rear brake caliper set contains two calipers, one for the rear left and one for the rear right, each supplied with its bracket. The supplier lists the pair for the 2008–2012 Honda Accord and the 2009–2014 Acura TSX under the reference numbers 19B3358 and 19B3359. Easy Life Markets sells the two calipers together with a pack of 14 accessories, so both sides of the rear axle can be done at the same time.
The caliper is the part that turns pedal pressure into clamping force. Brake fluid pushes a piston, the piston presses the pads against the disc, and the car slows. On the rear axle of these cars the caliper also has to work with the parking brake. Calipers fail slowly. Seals harden, pistons corrode and stick, and slide pins seize in their bores. A sticking rear caliper cooks its pads, drags on the disc and can make the car pull or the parking brake feel weak. The disc brake article has a good section on how calipers work.
What Is Included
- 2 x rear brake calipers (left and right)
- 14 accessories (installation hardware)
Each caliper comes with its bracket. Mounting bolts are not included, so keep your original ones. Fitting instructions are not included either. Brake pads, discs, hoses and fluid are sold separately.

Compatibility
The supplier lists this pair for:
- Honda Accord, 2008–2012
- Acura TSX, 2009–2014
The reference numbers above are the ones the supplier says these calipers replace. They are given so you can cross-check, and they do not mean the calipers are made by Honda or Acura.
How to Verify the Fit
- Look up your caliper by VIN. A Honda or Acura parts catalogue will show the rear caliper numbers for your car. Compare them with 43018TA0A01 and 43019TA0A01.
- Check the piston. These are single-piston calipers with a 1.497 inch piston.
- Compare the casting. Look at the photos for the position of the parking brake lever, the cable bracket and the hose port, and compare them with the calipers on your car.
- Mind the model year and body. The supplier does not break the list down by engine, trim or body style, so a VIN check is the safest route. Send us your VIN if you would like help.
Signs a Rear Caliper Is Failing
- One rear wheel is much hotter than the other after a drive, or smells of burning
- Rear pads worn unevenly, with the inner pad far thinner than the outer
- Brake fluid weeping around the piston seal or the bleed screw
- The car pulls to one side under braking
- The parking brake no longer holds well, or does not release fully
- A soft pedal that returns after bleeding and then fades again
Why Replace Both Sides
Calipers on the same axle are the same age and have lived in the same conditions. When one seizes, the other is rarely far behind. Fitting a pair keeps the clamping force even across the axle, which matters for stable braking. It also means the system is opened and bled once instead of twice.
Installation Notes
The supplier strongly recommends professional installation and does not include instructions. We agree. Caliper replacement means opening the hydraulic system, and the rear calipers on these cars include the parking brake mechanism. For a qualified mechanic the usual sequence is:
- Support the car, remove the rear wheels and release the parking brake cable from the caliper lever.
- Clamp or cap the brake hose, undo the banjo bolt and remove the old caliper and bracket.
- Bolt the new bracket and caliper in place with the original mounting bolts, tightened to the service manual torque.
- Use new sealing washers on the hose connection.
- Fit the pads, reconnect the parking brake cable and adjust it as the manual describes.
- Bleed the brakes with fresh fluid of the grade specified for the car until no air remains.
- Check for leaks with the pedal held down, then road test at low speed.
It is good practice to fit new rear pads with new calipers and to inspect the discs and flexible hoses at the same time.
Looking After Your Calipers
Brake fluid absorbs moisture, and that moisture corrodes pistons and bores from the inside. Changing the fluid at the interval in your owner's manual is the best thing you can do for caliper life. Clean and re-grease the slide pins whenever the pads are changed.
Who This Caliper Pair Is For
It is intended for repair shops and experienced home mechanics working on the listed Accord and TSX models, particularly where a seized or leaking rear caliper has been diagnosed and the owner wants both sides renewed.
Common Questions
Are these genuine Honda calipers? No. They are aftermarket calipers sold under reference numbers, and they are not genuine parts of the vehicle maker.
Do they come with brackets? Yes. The supplier lists the bracket as included with each caliper.
Are mounting bolts and pads included? Mounting bolts are not included. Pads are not listed in the pack contents.
