Honda Accord 3.0L V6 Motor Mount Kit – 6 Pieces for 2003–2007

This Honda Accord 3.0L V6 motor mount kit is a six-piece engine and transmission mount set for the 2003–2007 Honda Accord with the 3.0L V6 engine. It replaces the mounts referenced as A4526HY, A4517, A4527HY, A4524, A4544 and A4525. Easy Life Markets sells the six mounts together as one kit, so you can renew all of the engine and transmission support on your Accord in one job.

The V6 Accord uses several mounts around the engine and gearbox. Some of them are hydraulic, filled with fluid to absorb vibration at idle, while others are rubber bushings in metal housings. As they age, the rubber cracks, the fluid leaks out, and vibration and clunks start to come through into the cabin. You can read more about how engine mounts work and why they wear.

What Is Included

According to the supplier, the kit includes six mounts, as shown in the product photos:

Compatibility

The supplier lists this kit for the 2003–2007 Honda Accord with the 3.0L V6 engine. The four-cylinder Accord uses different mounts, and mounts can also differ between automatic and manual gearbox versions and between sedan and coupe body styles. Before ordering, please compare the reference numbers and photos with your existing mounts, or check them in a Honda parts catalogue using your VIN. If you are not sure, send us your VIN and we will help you check.

Signs of Worn Motor Mounts

  • Vibration at idle, especially when stopped in Drive
  • A clunk when shifting into Drive or Reverse, or when accelerating
  • Knocking over bumps from the engine bay
  • Visible engine movement when revving
  • Collapsed or cracked rubber, or fluid leaking from a hydraulic mount

Installation Notes

  • Support the engine and transmission securely from below before removing any mount.
  • Replace one mount at a time to keep the drivetrain in position.
  • Take note of the orientation of each mount before removal.
  • Tighten all bolts to Honda's specified torque with the weight of the engine on the mounts.
  • Test drive and check for vibration in Drive, Reverse and at idle.

Replacing all six mounts is a substantial job. Professional installation is recommended.

Why Replace the Full Set

All six mounts have covered the same distance and have been exposed to the same heat. If one has failed, the others are usually worn too. A worn mount next to a new one lets the engine move more than it should, which puts extra strain on the new parts. Fitting the whole kit restores the correct engine position and gives the smoothest result.

How to Check Your Accord's Mounts

With the hood open and a helper holding the brakes firmly, start the engine and shift between Drive and Reverse, applying a little throttle in each. A small movement is normal; a sharp jump, a lift on one side or a thud points to worn mounts. Also look under the front and rear mounts for dark fluid, which is a sign that a hydraulic mount has leaked.

Looking After the New Mounts

Oil leaks break down rubber, so fix any leaks from the valve covers or oil pan. Smooth driving also helps: avoid hard launches and quick shifts between Drive and Reverse, which load the mounts heavily.

Tools and Preparation

Before starting, gather a floor jack with a wide block of wood to support the engine or transmission, sturdy axle stands, a torque wrench and a good socket set. Some mounts are easier to reach with the front wheel or splash shields removed. Work on one mount at a time, and mark the position of each old mount before you remove it so the new one goes back in the same place.

Who This Kit Is For

This kit suits owners of 2003–2007 Honda Accord V6 models with vibration or clunks from worn mounts, and independent workshops that service Honda vehicles.
