Baby Bunny Romper – Hooded One-Piece with Ears, 66 to 90 cm

This baby bunny romper is a long-sleeve, full-length one-piece with a hood that has two soft ears, a contrast white panel on the tummy and a front opening. The fabric is listed as cotton. Easy Life Markets sells it in blue, grey and pink, for heights of 66, 73, 80 and 90 cm.

It is an all-in-one suit for babies and young toddlers, with gathered cuffs at the wrists and ankles. With the hood up the ears stand out at the sides, which makes it a favourite for photos and for gifts. With the hood down it is simply a neat, plain-coloured romper.

What Is in the Box

The supplier does not publish a packing list. The product is one romper. Shoes and props in the photos are not included.

Size Chart

Sizes are the child's height in centimetres. These are the supplier's garment measurements, also in centimetres. Allow 2 to 3 cm either way for hand measuring.

Size Length Chest Sleeve
66 55 30 26
73 60 31 29
80 65 32 32
90 68 33 35

The supplier labels the chest column "bust" and does not say how it is measured. Figures of 30 to 33 cm only make sense as the width of the garment laid flat, which gives about 60 to 66 cm all round. We cannot confirm that. Ask us if you need it checked.

How to Choose a Size

  1. Measure your child's height. That gives the starting size.
  2. Measure from the base of the neck to the ankle and compare it with the length in the chart. In a one-piece, length matters most. Too short and it pulls at the shoulders and crotch.
  3. Allow room for a nappy and a layer underneath.
  4. If your child is between sizes, take the larger. The supplier states that its sizes run one to two sizes small, and cuffs at the wrist and ankle hold a slightly long sleeve or leg in place.

As a rough guide only, 66 cm is around 3 to 6 months, 73 cm around 6 to 12 months, 80 cm around 12 to 18 months and 90 cm around 2 years. Babies vary a great deal, so go by height and the chart.

What the Supplier Does Not State

  • Whether the romper is lined or padded. In the photos the inside of the hood and cuffs looks thicker and paler than the outside, which suggests a lining, but the supplier's text says only "cotton".
  • Whether the cotton is 100% or a blend
  • How the front fastens. The photos show a closed front placket, which on rompers of this type is usually a row of poppers.
  • Whether the opening runs down both legs for nappy changes
  • Fabric weight and warmth
  • Any safety standard, test or certification
  • Care instructions

We make no safety or certification claim for this garment, because the supplier gives us none to pass on. If any of these points matters to you, ask us and we will put the question to the supplier.

Sensible Use

These are general points for any hooded baby garment:

  • Use it for awake time. Hooded clothing is not recommended for babies while they sleep, and babies should not be put down to sleep in a hood.
  • Check the ears, fastenings and seams before first wear and after each wash, and stop using the garment if anything works loose.
  • If the romper turns out to be thick or lined, do not use it in a car seat under the harness. Bulky clothing stops the straps fitting closely.
  • Do not overdress a baby indoors. Take the romper off, or put the hood down, in a warm room.

Why a One-Piece

A romper suit keeps a baby's back and tummy covered however much they wriggle, and there is no waistband to dig in or ride up. A front opening means the baby can be laid on the open garment and dressed without anything being pulled over the head, which many babies dislike.

How to Dress It

  • Over a bodysuit or vest.
  • With socks or soft booties. The legs end in cuffs, not feet.
  • For walks in the pram on cool days, with a blanket over the top if needed.
  • For photos, milestones and first holidays.

Blue, grey and pink are all soft pastel shades. Grey is the neutral choice if you are buying a gift before the baby arrives.

Care

Follow the care label in the garment. Where the label gives no guidance, the usual approach for cotton baby clothes is:

  • Wash before first wear.
  • Fasten the front and turn the romper inside out.
  • Wash cool on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent.
  • Reshape the ears by hand while damp.
  • Dry flat or on a line. Cotton can shrink in a hot dryer.

Common Questions

What ages does it fit? It is sized by height: 66, 73, 80 and 90 cm. Measure your child.

Is it lined? The supplier does not say. The photos suggest a lining at the hood and cuffs.

Does it have feet? No. The legs end in cuffs.

Can a baby sleep in it? We do not recommend hooded clothing for sleep.

Is it a branded garment? No. It is an unbranded romper from our supplier.
