Length and Fit
At 40 cm the chain sits at the base of the neck, around the collarbone, on most adults. The 5 cm extender lets you wear it up to 45 cm, a little lower on the chest. If you are not sure which you prefer, cut a piece of string to 40 cm and to 45 cm and try each against a mirror.
The supplier does not give the size of the pendant. From its photos it is a small pendant, in proportion with the fine chain. If the exact size matters, ask us before ordering.

A Straight Answer on the Materials
- "Titanium steel". This is the jewellery trade's name for stainless steel. It is a steel alloy, not titanium metal. Stainless steel is hard, resists rust and keeps its shape, which is why it is popular for everyday jewellery.
- Not gold. The gold colour is an electroplated layer over steel. The supplier does not state the plating metal or its thickness, so we make no claim about either. Plating wears with friction, sweat and chemicals. Care for it as described below and it will keep its colour longer.
- The stones. The original title says rhinestones. They are decorative stones, not diamonds. The supplier does not say what they are made of.
- The centre stone. The option name includes the word "Smart", which sellers of this style often use for a stone mounted so that it trembles as you move. The supplier's specification does not say that this one does, and we have not confirmed it.
- Skin sensitivity. The supplier makes no hypoallergenic claim and does not state nickel content. If you react to some metals, be cautious with any plated jewellery.

Electroplating uses an electric current to deposit a thin layer of one metal on another. In fashion jewellery it gives steel or alloy the colour of gold at a small fraction of the cost.
