Men's Cargo Joggers – Drawstring Waist, Flap Pockets and Cuffed Ankles

These men's cargo joggers are casual trousers with a drawstring waist, a large flap pocket on each thigh and gathered cuffs at the ankle. The cut tapers from the thigh down to a narrow hem. The fabric is a non-stretch blend. Easy Life Markets sells them in army green, black, gray and khaki, in sizes M to 3XL.

They combine two familiar things: the pockets of cargo trousers and the cuffed, tapered leg of joggers. The result is a pair you can wear with trainers at the weekend that still has somewhere secure to put a phone, keys and a wallet. The supplier lists them as suitable for all four seasons, in a fabric of normal thickness.

These Run Small: How to Choose Your Size

Look at the chart before you look at the letters. A size M has a 72 cm waist, and the largest size, XXXL, has an 88 cm waist. By European and American standards that is a medium to large. Most buyers will need to go up two sizes or more from their usual letter, and anyone with a waist above about 90 cm should check with us first, because this style may not come in a size that fits.

  1. Measure your waist where you wear your trousers.
  2. Measure your hips at the fullest point. The fabric has no stretch, so the hip figure in the chart needs to be larger than your own.
  3. Find the size that fits both. If your waist and hips point to different sizes, take the larger and use the drawstring.
  4. Check the length against trousers you own, measured from the top of the waistband to the hem. Remember that the ankle cuff holds the hem in place, so a slightly long leg simply gathers above the shoe.

The supplier does not say how far the waistband stretches. If you would like help, send us your waist and hip measurements and we will suggest a size.

A Straight Answer on the Details

  • "Sports pants". The original listing called these sports pants. The supplier lists the use as casual and the fabric as non-stretch, so they are everyday trousers in a sporty shape, not training wear.
  • Fabric. "Chemical fibre blended" is the supplier's wording for a synthetic blend. It gives no fibre names or percentages. Ask us if you need to know.
  • Non-iron. The supplier lists a non-iron finish. That usually means the fabric resists creasing and can be worn straight from the line. We have not tested it.
  • Other pockets. The photos show the thigh pockets and side pockets at the hip. Back pockets are not shown or described.
  • Not stated: Fabric weight, whether the waistband is elasticated all round, and care instructions.

About the Style

Cargo pants were designed as military and work trousers, with large pockets on the leg for carrying kit. The jogger version keeps the pockets, drops the loose straight leg and adds a cuff, which gives a much neater line over trainers and boots.

How to Wear Them

  • With a plain T-shirt and low trainers, as in the supplier's photos.
  • With a hoodie or a bomber jacket in cooler weather.
  • With work boots, the cuff sitting just above the boot.
  • For travel, where pockets that close are useful.

Khaki and army green give the most classic cargo look. Black and gray are easier to dress up slightly.

Care

Follow the care label in the garment. Where the label gives no guidance, the usual approach for synthetic-blend casual trousers is:

  • Empty and fasten the pockets before washing.
  • Wash inside out at a cool temperature with similar colours.
  • Tie the drawstring loosely so it does not pull out of the waistband.
  • Hang to dry. Smooth the legs and pocket flaps by hand while damp.
  • If you iron, use a low setting.

Who They Suit

Men with a slimmer build who like a tapered trouser with practical pockets, and anyone who wants an alternative to jeans for everyday wear. Because the size range is small, they are less suited to larger builds.

Common Questions

Do they run small? Yes, clearly. The largest size has an 88 cm waist. Use the chart.

Do they stretch? No. The supplier lists no elasticity in the fabric.

Is a belt included? No. The waist ties with a drawstring.

Are they for sport? They are listed as casual wear.

Are they branded? No. They are unbranded trousers from our supplier.
