Men's Ripped Jeans – Distressed Washed Blue Denim with Patch Detail, Sizes 28 to 38
Men's Ripped Jeans – Distressed Washed Blue Denim with Patch Detail
These men's ripped jeans are blue denim jeans with a heavy vintage wash, faded and tinted panels down the thighs and seat, and a series of rips on the front of the legs that are backed with patches. They have front and back pockets and belt loops. Easy Life Markets sells them in one wash, in sizes 28 to 38.
This is a strongly styled pair. The rips run from the upper thigh to the shin on both legs, the wash goes from dark indigo at the seams to a pale, sandy fade in the middle of each panel, and the hems are shown turned up in the supplier's photos. If you want plain dark jeans, look elsewhere. If you want a worn-in, workshop look straight out of the bag, this is the idea.
A Straight Answer: What We Know and What We Do Not
The supplier provides photos and a list of sizes for these jeans, and no written description at all. Everything on this page comes from those photos. We would sooner tell you that plainly than invent a specification.
What the photos show:
- Blue denim with a faded, yellow-tinted vintage wash
- Multiple rips on the front of both legs, with fabric behind them
- Smaller abrasions near the front pockets
- Riveted front pockets and two back pockets
- Belt loops and a patch on the back of the waistband
- A printed lining inside the waistband
- A straight to slim leg
What the supplier does not state:
- Fabric composition, and whether the denim has any stretch
- Denim weight
- Fit, rise and leg opening
- Waist, hip and inseam measurements for each size
- Whether the fly is zip or button
- Care instructions
If one of these matters to you, tell us and we will ask the supplier before you order.
What Is in the Box
The supplier does not publish a packing list. The product is the pair of jeans. The brown belt in the photos is styling, and you should assume it is not included.
Sizes
28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 36 and 38.
These numbers follow the usual convention of waist size in inches, but the supplier does not confirm that, and it gives no measurements. Jeans from this kind of supplier often run smaller than European and American brands with the same number on the label. Please do not order by the number alone.
How to Get the Right Size
The reliable way is to compare against jeans you already own.
- Take a pair that fits you well and lay it flat, buttoned.
- Waist: Measure straight across the top of the waistband and double it.
- Hip: Measure straight across at the base of the fly and double it.
- Thigh: Measure across the leg just below the crotch seam.
- Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam down the inside leg to the hem.
- Send us those figures in centimetres with your usual jeans size.
We will ask the supplier for the garment measurements of the size you are considering and tell you how they compare. If the denim turns out to have no stretch, a waist that is even 2 cm too small will be uncomfortable, so it is worth the few minutes.
About Ripped and Distressed Denim
Jeans are distressed at the factory by abrasion, washing and cutting to imitate years of wear. A few points follow from that:
- No two pairs are identical. The position and size of the rips and the pattern of the fade vary from pair to pair. Yours will resemble the photos, not match them exactly.
- Backed rips are sturdier. In the photos the tears have fabric behind them, so your knee does not go through the hole when you pull the jeans on. That also makes them warmer and longer-lasting than open rips.
- Frayed edges keep fraying. Loose threads around the rips are part of the look. They will shed a little in the first washes.
- Dress codes. Heavily ripped jeans are casual wear. Some workplaces and venues do not allow them.
How to Wear Them
- With a plain white or black T-shirt and boots. The jeans carry the outfit.
- With a leather or denim jacket in a different shade of blue.
- With high-top trainers and the hems turned up, as in the photos.
- With a plain hoodie or a zip-up jacket in cooler weather.
Keep the top half simple. A busy print above busy denim is too much.
Care
Follow the care label in the jeans. Where the label gives no guidance, distressed denim lasts longest if you:
- Wash as seldom as you reasonably can, inside out, in cool water.
- Fasten the fly before washing.
- Use a laundry bag or a gentle cycle so the rips do not catch and tear further.
- Wash with dark colours. Indigo dye can transfer, especially when new.
- Dry on a line. Tumble drying shrinks denim and opens up the rips.
- Be aware that new dark denim can rub colour onto pale shoes, bags and upholstery.
Who They Suit
