S5 Mini Thumb Camera – 1080P Digital Camera with Screen and Flash
S5 Mini Thumb Camera – 1080P Digital Camera with Screen and Flash
The S5 is a mini thumb camera shaped like a tiny SLR, about 40 mm wide and under 100 g. It takes photos and video, shows them on a small colour screen on the back, and saves them to a TF card. Easy Life Markets sells it in Black SLR, Pink SLR and White, as the camera alone or with an 8GB, 16GB, 32GB or 64GB memory card.
It is a working digital camera, not a toy that only looks like one, but it is sold for fun more than for picture quality. People clip it to a bag, hang it from a lanyard and use it for quick, small, slightly rough pictures of the kind that phones have made too tidy. The supplier pitches it at students for that reason.

A Straight Answer on the Supplier's Claims
A few items in the supplier's data need a plain comment.
- "CCD". The supplier's title calls this a CCD camera. The supplier's specification does not confirm the sensor type, and the term is widely used as a style label for small retro-look cameras. We do not claim a CCD sensor.
- "Optical anti shake". The supplier's text lists it. A camera this size with a fixed lens is very unlikely to have a true optical stabiliser, and nothing else in the data supports it. Do not buy on the basis of that feature.
- Screen size. The supplier's text says 0.9 inch and the parameter sheet says 0.96 inch. We quote the more detailed figure. Either way, it is a very small screen.
- Largest memory card. Not stated. The largest card sold with it is 64GB.
What to Expect from the Pictures
Be realistic and you will enjoy it. The lens and sensor are tiny. In daylight it gives usable, characterful snaps with a wide view. Indoors and at night the pictures are grainy, and the flash helps at close range only. Video is fine for short clips to share. The 180 mAh battery is small, so expect short sessions between charges. The supplier does not give a run time.
The 120 degree lens takes in a lot, which suits group shots at arm's length and pictures of a whole room. Things at the edges of a wide lens look stretched, so keep faces near the middle.
Getting Started
- Charge the camera with the data cable from a USB port before first use.
- Insert a TF card into the slot. Use the format option in the menu the first time.
- Switch on with the power button.
- Use the mode switch to change between the shooting modes. The instruction sheet shows the order.
- Press the shutter button to take a photo or to start and stop a recording.
- To copy files, connect the camera to a computer with the data cable, or take the card out and use a card reader.
Tips for Using a Very Small Camera
- Hold it with two hands, thumb and finger on each side, and press the shutter gently. A camera this light moves easily and blur is the common fault.
- Get close. Small sensors do best when the subject fills the frame.
- Use the flash for subjects within a metre or two. Beyond that it does little.
- Keep the lens clean. One fingerprint covers most of a lens this size.
- Copy your pictures off the card regularly. Small cards and small cameras are easy to lose.
Care and Safety
- Keep it dry. No water resistance is listed.
- Do not leave it charging unattended or in a hot place.
- The camera and its memory card are small enough to swallow. Keep them away from young children. The supplier gives no age grading, so supervise any child who uses it.
- Ask before photographing people, and respect any rules on cameras at school or at work.
Who It Suits
Students and teenagers who like the retro snapshot look, people who want a camera on a bag strap for quick pictures, collectors of miniature gadgets, and anyone looking for a small gift that actually works.
Common Questions
Does it really take photos, or is it a keyring ornament? It is a working camera with a sensor, screen, flash and card slot.
Does it record sound? A recording function is listed. The supplier gives no detail on the microphone.
Does it connect to a phone? No WiFi or Bluetooth is listed. Files are copied by cable or card reader.
Is it a branded camera? No. It is an unbranded camera from our supplier, and we do not present it as any other maker's product.
Which card should I choose? For photos and short clips, 16GB or 32GB is plenty.
