Tempered Glass Screen Protector – HD Film for iPhone
This tempered glass screen protector is a clear, high-definition front film for iPhone, sold in packs of one, three or four. The supplier lists sizes from the iPhone 7 and 8 up to the iPhone 16 series, and describes the glass as scratch-resistant and anti-fingerprint with an arc edge. It is a plain protector with nothing printed on it: no black border and no privacy tint, just a sheet of glass cut to the screen with an opening for the earpiece. A glass screen protector is simple insurance for a phone. Choosing the Right Size
- Find your model name in Settings, under General and then About.
- Do not guess between versions. A Pro and a Pro Max are different sizes, and from the iPhone 14 Pro onwards the cut-out at the top of the screen is a different shape from the notch on earlier phones.
- Think about your case. A case with a high lip can push against the edge of a glass protector and lift it. Fit the glass first, then the case, and check the edges.
How to Fit It Without Bubbles
- Work somewhere with little dust. A bathroom after a hot shower has run is a good place, because steam settles dust.
- Wash your hands and clean the screen thoroughly with a microfibre cloth.
- Dab the screen with sticky tape to lift the last specks.
- Peel the backing from the glass without touching the adhesive side.
- Line the earpiece opening up with the phone's speaker, lower the glass from the top and let it settle on its own.
- Press the centre and let the adhesive spread outwards. Push any small bubbles to the edge with a card wrapped in the cloth.
A speck of dust under the glass will leave a bubble that does not go away. Lift that corner carefully with tape, remove the speck with more tape and lay the glass back down.
Which Pack to Buy
One piece is enough if you are confident fitting glass. The three and four packs make sense if this is your first try, if you want a spare in the drawer for the next drop, or if several people in the house have the same phone.
Care and Replacement
Clean the glass with a soft cloth, the same as the screen itself. Replace it as soon as it cracks or chips. A cracked protector has sharp edges, and it will not protect the screen a second time.
