Wire Shelving Unit – 62.9 Inch Wide Adjustable 3-Bay Rack with 11 Shelves, Silver
Wire Shelving Unit – 62.9 Inch Wide Adjustable Rack with 11 Shelves
This wire shelving unit is a wide, three-bay metal rack measuring 62.9 inches across, 13.78 inches deep and 59.06 inches high (about 159 × 35 × 150 cm). It has eleven adjustable wire shelves on carbon steel posts with levelling feet, and it can also be built as two separate towers. Easy Life Markets sells it in silver.
Most wire racks are a single column. This one gives you a wall of storage in one purchase: two tall five-shelf towers joined by a set of bridging shelves in the middle. The supplier's photos show it in a kitchen carrying a microwave, a coffee machine, baskets and crates. It suits a pantry, a garage, a utility room or a shop stockroom just as well.
What Is in the Box
- 1 × storage rack, supplied in parts
The supplier lists one storage rack. The photos show posts, wire shelves, plastic clips with tapered sleeves and levelling feet. The assembly diagram shows a rubber mallet being used to seat the shelves. The supplier does not say that a mallet is included, so have one to hand or use a block of wood and a hammer.

Two Ways to Build It
- Joined, as one wide unit. The two towers stand apart and the remaining shelves bridge the gap between them. This gives the full 62.9 inch width and an open centre bay for tall or awkward items.
- Split, as two towers. Each tower stands on its own at about 21.7 inches wide. This suits two rooms, or two narrow gaps either side of a door or an appliance.
Because the shelves clip to the posts at any marked height, you can set the spacing around what you own: tall for a stand mixer or storage crates, close together for tins and jars.
A Straight Answer on the Details
- "NSF certified". The supplier's text and one photo use this phrase and show a logo. We have not seen a certificate or a listing number for this rack, so we do not claim any certification for it.
- "Heavy duty". The supplier calls the rack heavy duty and commercial grade and gives no load figure. Without a number, treat it as a domestic storage rack. Put heavy things low and spread the weight.
- The centre bay. In the joined layout the middle shelves hang between the two towers. The unit is at its most stable with every shelf fitted and the towers standing on a level floor.
- Wire shelves have gaps. Small bottles and jars can tip. Use liners or trays where needed.
- Finish. The supplier says the coating is scratch resistant. Coated steel wire copes with a kitchen or garage. It will rust in time if kept wet.
- Not stated: Load per shelf, total load, rack weight, wire and post gauge and whether a mallet or wall fixings are supplied.
About the Steel
The posts and wire are carbon steel, the ordinary structural steel used for most shelving, tools and building products. It is strong and inexpensive, and on its own it rusts, which is why it is always plated or coated. On a wire rack the weak points are the welds and the cut ends of the wire. Keeping those dry is the single most useful thing you can do for its lifespan.
Setting It Up
- Decide on the layout first and mark the shelf heights on the posts.
- Fit each pair of clips with the top arrow pointing up, as the supplier's diagram shows, and make sure all four clips for a shelf sit in the same groove.
- Lower the shelf over the clips and tap each corner down until it seats.
- Build from the bottom shelf upwards.
- Adjust the feet until the rack stands level and does not rock.
- For a tall, loaded rack, fix the top to the wall with a strap or bracket, especially around children.
Care
- Wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry.
- Avoid scouring pads and bleach.
- Do not climb on the shelves or use the rack as a ladder.
- Check the clips and feet from time to time, and after moving the rack.
Who It Suits
Households that need a lot of open storage in a kitchen, pantry, garage or utility room, and small businesses fitting out a storeroom.
