Wired Controller for Xbox One – Third-Party USB Gamepad for Console and Windows PC
Wired Controller for Xbox One – Third-Party USB Gamepad for Console and Windows PC
This wired controller for Xbox One is a third-party USB gamepad with the same button layout as the console's own pad. It plugs in with a 2 metre cable, needs no batteries or pairing, and the supplier lists it for the Xbox One console and for Windows PCs. It is not made by Microsoft. Easy Life Markets sells it in six colour options as a single controller.
A wired pad is the simple choice for a second controller. There is nothing to charge, nothing to sync and no lag from a weak wireless signal. You plug it in and play. For a player-two pad that spends most of its life in a drawer, or for a PC that needs a controller for the occasional game, that simplicity is worth more than a wireless link.

A Straight Answer: This Is Not a Microsoft Controller
This gamepad is made by a third party. It is not manufactured, licensed or endorsed by Microsoft. The supplier describes it as designed for the Xbox One console with the same layout. Xbox and Windows are trademarks of Microsoft, used here only to say what the controller is made to work with.
Because it is an independent product, some things can differ from the console maker's pad:
- Feel. Stick tension, trigger travel and button click will not be identical to the original.
- System updates. Console and Windows updates occasionally affect third-party controllers. We cannot promise it will work with every future version.
- Vibration. The supplier does not list vibration motors. If rumble matters to you, ask us first.
- Newer consoles. Only the Xbox One is listed. Later console generations are not mentioned.
- Windows 11. The supplier's list stops at Windows 10.
If one of these points decides your purchase, tell us and we will ask the supplier before you order.
About the Headset Jack
The supplier states plainly that the earphone connection cannot be used on a PC. On a computer, plug your headset into the PC itself. Whether the jack carries chat audio on the console is not described in detail, so do not buy this controller for its headset socket without checking with us.
Using It on the Console
- Switch the console on.
- Plug the controller's cable into one of the console's USB ports.
- Press the centre button on the controller and sign in to a profile when asked.
- Start a game. No pairing step is needed for a wired pad.
Using It on a Windows PC
- Plug the cable into a USB port on the computer. Use a port on the machine itself, not an unpowered hub.
- Wait for Windows to finish setting the device up. On supported versions this happens by itself.
- Open the game's controller settings and check that each button and stick responds.
- If a game does not see the pad, look for a controller option in its settings, or restart the game with the pad already plugged in.
Not every PC game supports a controller. Check the game's store page or settings before buying a pad for one particular title.
Why Choose Wired
- No batteries. It draws power through the cable and is always ready.
- No pairing. Useful when friends bring it between houses or you move it between a console and a PC.
- Steady connection. There is no wireless signal to drop in a room full of devices.
- 2 metres of reach. Enough for a desk or a sofa close to the TV. Measure your seating distance first. A USB extension lead adds reach but can cause dropouts if it is long or poor quality.
Care
- Do not wrap the cable tightly round the pad. Coil it loosely to protect the join where it enters the body.
- Keep the cable where nobody will trip on it and pull the console off its shelf.
- Wipe the pad with a dry or slightly damp cloth, and keep liquid out of the seams.
- A drifting stick is often dust under the cap. A short puff of clean air round the base can help.
Who It Suits
Console owners who want a spare pad for a second player, PC players who want a simple plug-in controller, parents who would like one controller that never needs charging, and anyone replacing a worn-out pad on a budget.
