This 12V car heater plugs into your car's cigarette lighter socket and blows warm or cool air to help clear fog and frost from the windscreen. It is a small green ABS unit, about 13 x 11 x 4.7 cm, with a 135 cm cord. Easy Life Markets sells it for standard 12-volt cars.

A Straight Answer on the Power Rating

The supplier's specifications say 120W, while the original title said 150W. We list the lower figure to be safe. Either way, check your car's socket fuse rating, usually printed in the handbook or on the fuse box lid, before using any plug-in heater. If you have a truck or bus on a 24V system, choose the 24V car heater instead.

First Use

The supplier says to switch the heater on and leave it running for about 20 minutes the first time. A slight smell from new heating elements is normal and should fade.

What a 12V Car Heater Can and Cannot Do

It works as a spot defogger, not a replacement for your car's heating. It will not warm the whole cabin or melt thick ice. Scrape heavy frost first, then let the heater keep your view clear.
