Men's High Top Basketball Shoes – Lace-Up Sneakers with Cushioned Heel
Men's High Top Basketball Shoes – Lace-Up Sneakers with Cushioned Heel
These men's high top basketball shoes are lace-up sneakers with a padded collar that covers the ankle, a two-tone upper with sweeping contrast stripes, and a thick sole with a visible cushion unit in the heel. Easy Life Markets sells them in blue, red and white colourways, in sizes 36 to 44.
The look is taken straight from 1990s basketball footwear: a tall, chunky shoe with a bold pattern on the side. The supplier lists them as basketball shoes for hard courts, wooden floors and concrete. Many people will buy them simply as a streetwear shoe to wear with joggers or jeans, and they work well for that.
What Is in the Box
The supplier does not publish a packing list. The product is one pair of shoes.

Size Chart
The supplier's chart is based on foot length in millimetres.
| Foot length | European size | US size |
|---|---|---|
| 245 mm | 39 | 6.5 |
| 250 mm | 40 | 7 |
| 255 mm | 40.5 | 7.5 |
| 260 mm | 41 | 8 |
| 265 mm | 42 | 8.5 |
| 270 mm | 42.5 | 9 |
| 275 mm | 43 | 9.5 |
| 280 mm | 43.5 | 10 |
| 285 mm | 44 | 10.5 |
Notes on the chart:
- Sizes 36, 37 and 38 are offered here but do not appear in the supplier's chart. Ask us for their foot lengths before ordering those sizes.
- The chart includes half sizes that are not offered. Whole sizes from 36 to 44 are on sale.
- Measure your foot and choose by foot length, not by your usual size number.
How to Measure Your Feet
- Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against a wall, wearing sports socks.
- Mark the tip of your longest toe.
- Measure from the wall to the mark in millimetres.
- Measure both feet and use the longer one.
- Choose the size whose foot length matches or is just above your measurement.
A high top is harder to get on than a low shoe and feels tighter round the ankle. If you are between sizes, or have wide feet, take the larger.
A Straight Answer on the Supplier's Claims
The supplier's listing for these shoes is a set of marketplace attributes, and several of them are unreliable. We have left out or qualified the following:
- Cushioning technology. The supplier's attributes name a cushioning system that is a registered trademark of a major sportswear brand. These shoes are not made by that brand and we do not use the name. What the photos show is a see-through cushion unit set into the heel of the sole. The supplier gives no detail on what it contains.
- Upper material. The attribute given is clearly wrong for this shoe. From the photos, the upper is a suede-like synthetic with smooth contrast panels. We cannot confirm the materials.
- "Waterproof". Listed by the supplier with nothing to support it. Treat the shoes as not waterproof.
- "Breathable". Also listed without support. A padded high top is a warm shoe.
- "Height increasing". This refers to the thick sole. No figure is given.
The photos show a small text label on the tongue. It is the maker's own marking. We sell the shoes as unbranded.
On Court or on the Street?
- Casual wear. This is what we would mainly recommend them for. The shape and colours are the appeal.
- Recreational basketball. The supplier lists them for court use. For an occasional game they will do the job.
- Regular or competitive play. We would not rely on an unbranded shoe with no stated outsole compound, support features or weight. Ankle and knee injuries are common in basketball, and serious players should buy footwear built and tested for the sport.
About High Tops
High-top sneakers came out of basketball, where the collar was raised to wrap the ankle. Off the court, the tall shape became a fashion staple, worn loosely laced with the tongue forward. A chunky sole with a window in the heel is a look that dates from the late 1980s and has stayed popular since.
How to Wear Them
- With tapered joggers, cuffed at the ankle so the collar shows, as in the supplier's photos.
- With slim jeans, the hem sitting on top of the shoe.
- With shorts and crew socks.
The main photos show a black and white pair. Check the photo that appears for the option you choose.
Care
- Brush suede-like panels with a soft, dry brush. Do not soak them.
- Wipe smooth panels and the sole with a damp cloth and a little mild soap.
- Take out the laces and wash them separately.
- Stuff the shoes with paper and dry them in the air, away from heaters and direct sun.
- Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
